Handyman

Andrew loves tools, just like his Dad and Pop Pop. We found him this "Design and Drill" set where he uses various types of screwdrivers and drills to take out, and drive in, big colorful screws. Lately he's been into construction - watching Bob the Builder, talking about construction sites that we pass while walking or driving etc. Funniest part is how he mispronounces the word construction: "Speduction!"

BFFs

Andrew & Juni, Best Friends Forever! These 2 are so cute together. They hug and kiss, and help each other up and down slides. They share snacks and laughs. And as an added bonus, we really like Juni's parents, Charmon and Ben. The kids get to see each other at playschool, at the playground and each others playrooms at home (we live within walking distance.)  Meaning, they see each other more often than not! He asks for Juni when he wants a buddy to hang out with. Charmon took this trio of pics the other day, she's a great photographer who I hope will get some nice fall shots of Andrew for this years set of holiday cards.

Late Night Muncher

Looks like kiddo has the Gordon snacking habit.

Picnics

Andrew's new obsession? Picnics. We are trying to squeeze every last bit out of summer and eat outside on the front porch. He even makes indoor picnics for us using his pretend kitchen food.  I bet when the colder weather hits we'll do living room picnics - I admit, the idea appeals to me!

The Boys

I'm outnumbered but I like it that way! Love my boys.

Harmonica

Sickies are gone now (this kid has an amazing immune system - rarely sick and when he is, it lasts 24 hrs).  So back to having fun. Andrew hasn't shown any real inclination towards music-making, with the exception of the harmonica. Who knows, maybe he'll be the next John Popper? Now I just need to teach him how to bow after a performance.

Sicko

 

Poor guy isn't feeling well today. Most of the kids in his playschool woke up today with a low grade fever and congestion. So we've just been hanging out on the couch watching movies.

Dunkin Donuts

Normally I'm a bit of a health nut in terms of food. But I occasionally make an exception for Dunkin Donuts. I have such fond memories of going there with my parents and siblings when I was a kid. Andrew will only eat a donut if it has sprinkles :)

Back to Blogging

Ok, we're unpacked enough  now that I can start taking pictures again! At first Andrew wasn't too happy about the beautiful new clawfoot tub in our bathroom. Its pretty tall and deep compared to our old tub. But I filled it full of bubbles and suddenly it was the best thing ever!

Settling In

Not too many pics being taken this week as we're still buried under boxes! Andrew's been a great sport. He seems to really like the place and there have been no disruptions of his usual routine. I think bringing him along for all our travels has made him a very adaptable kid.

He's being really funny lately with words. Especially adjectives. Lately he pairs rhyming ones together - I have "wrinkly crinkly hair", we ride on "lumpy bumpy roads", he goes down "twirly whirly slides" :)

Will resume my normal blogging soon - playschool begins again next week as does gymastics and library storytime so it will be a fun autumn!

Thank You

Thank you to the Moms who watched Andrew while Shawn and I moved into the new place. He had fun with your kids and we got some unpacking done. A win-win!

Summer Playgrounds

We have about 5-10 Playground we frequent around here, with about 5-10 that we haven't even checked out yet. I'm happy to say that at our new place, 2 will be within walking distance!

Juni

Here are some pictures from Juni's 2nd birthday party taken by her photographer Mom. They live in our neighborhood and we are excited to have them over for dinner tonight! Andrew can be a bit of a nut, but Juni takes it all in stride. In the top photo, she was showing him how to push the baby stroller. The bottom pic is the bunch who went to the party - the moms are all friends, the kids are of various ages, 6 months to 6 years.
